On average, I personally shoot about 20 weddings per year and have been doing this for a little over ten years, to date. I don’t know the exact number, but this means that I have roughly shot about 200 weddings so far during my career as a wedding photographer. I’ve witnessed two hundred “I-do’s”, two hundred bouquet tosses, and I am guilty of having tasted about two hundred different wedding cakes.
I used to somewhat relate to the quote “Always a bridesmaid, never a bride”. I say somewhat because I’ve never been a bridesmaid. And quite frankly, I never plan to be a bride (perhaps a groom some day). But in my case, my quote was “Always a photographer, never a best man.” This wedding was an exception. My best friend and his beautiful wife tied the knot in May. I was honored not only to have my team of wedding photographers shoot their wedding, but I was a witness to their special vows as their best man.
Daniel and Yessica had a beautiful outdoor ceremony out in the country, surrounded by their family and close friends at the Springs Event Venue in Angleton, TX. Everything from the food, the DJ (DJ NANI) and the cake was exceptional!
“We grew up together!” Daniel explains every time he has a chance to tell their story. Childhood friends blossomed into a beautiful relationship. Both their families were friends with each other for years – INSANE! Who would have known?
I am a firm believer that God has a special person for everyone. These two were made for each one another. The love they have for each other is inspiring.
Below are some of my favorite shots we captured along with their wedding highlight. Enjoy! :-)
Congratulations Daniel and Yessi!
